SKYACTIV-G 2.5L TURBO ENGINE

The ground-breaking new petrol engine delivers the torque of a 4.0 litre V8, yet with an impressive fuel efficiency from 8.98L / 100km.* It offers excellent dynamic performance in the mid-to-low rpm range, which is where the majority of everyday driving occurs. World-first Dynamic Pressure Turbo controls the degree of exhaust pulsation depending on engine speed. Driven by a constant pressure flow at higher rpms, the system redirects the energy in every exhaust pulsation to maximise drive force at lower rpms, eliminating turbo-lag providing immediate, linear and smooth power delivery.

SKYACTIV DRIVE

A newly developed, compact 6-speed automatic transmission that achieves excellent fuel economy, a direct feel similar to that of a manual transmission, as well as smooth and powerful acceleration.

SKYACTIV BODY

SKYACTIV-BODY employs optimized structures and advance materials to simultaneously achieve lighter weight and increased rigidity for better safety and handling performance.

SKYACTIV CHASIS

The lightweight SKYACTIV-CHASSIS provides more comfort and security via its suspension setup, while at the same time delivering Mazda's hallmark fun-to-drive feel.

i-STOP

Mazda’s i-stop idling stop system which helps deliver smooth stopping and starting along with excellent fuel economy.

The system automatically stops the engine when the driver presses the brake pedal and stops the car. When subsequently releasing the brake to move off again, fuel is injected directly into the engine’s cylinder and combusted to automatically restart the car in approximately 0.35 seconds.

The further evolution allows the system to operate at lower water temperatures after the engine is started than on previous iterations. This makes it possible to use the idling stop system sooner after starting the engine and improves real-world fuel economy numbers.

It also comes equipped with SRS airbags and technology such as rear parking sensors, Emergency Stop Signal (ESS), Dynamic Stability Control (DSC), Traction Control System (TCS), Emergency Brake Assist (EBA) and Electronic Brake-force Distribution (EBD) as standard to help you stay in tune with your Mazda6 and focus on the road ahead.

Mazda CX-9 is fully-equipped to handle the entertainment demands of modern driving, offering the latest in connectivity and infotainment.
